CELEBRATE "ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE KID" DAY!

Sometimes when we get caught up in the day-to-day struggles of raising a family, people often get taken for granted - we forget to tell the people we love how important they are to us.  March 19 is being celebrated as Absolutely Incredible Kid Day.  On this day, kids (and parents!) should get at least one letter telling them how great they are.   One Absolutely Incredible Kid Day site has quite a few activities for kids and their parents.  There is a contest to win a family vacation, how-to's on four different kinds of letters to write, design your own stationery (with their pictures!), fun printable activities - word finds, word scrambles, sunrise/sunset chart, connect-the-dot, and silly object picture, or you can send an online postcard!  Warner Brothers site has a contest also.  Online cards can also be sent from here, and kids and parents can print "coupons" good for special rewards from the parents or kids (such as 1 breakfast in bed).  Marvel Comics will let you print a letterhead for writing letters also.  You can win prizes and download a screen saver too. Sportsrap has a list of professional athletes for kids to write to.  The child is to tell the athlete why the child is a great kid.  Each child will get a response.

We should all make a point to let our loved ones know how much they mean to us - not on just one day, but all year-round. These activities can be a start to accomplishing this!
