Need Some Science Fair Ideas?

This is the time of year when children's thoughts turn to snow days, hot chocolate, and what project to make for the upcoming science fair. Fear not! Coming up with a project idea has never been easier, thanks to the Internet. Many of you are aware of the two PBS television shows Newton's Apple and Bill Nye the Science Guy. Did you also know that they each have a web site? When you explore Newton's Apple, you will find listings of their shows for the past few seasons. These listings have a "Science Try It" section for experiments to try. Bill Nye's site is called Bill Nye the Science Guy's Nye Labs Online. This site is fun to explore and also tied into the television series. For those of you who are interested in building a model of a volcano for your project, visit the Home Page of VolcanoWorld. This site lets you learn all about volcanoes. It even has a section under the Learning area that provides instructions on Building a Volcano.
