Slim's Hush Puppies
| 3 oz (1/3 C) white corn meal mix | 1 large egg |
| 1 medium onion (using a food chopper, almost liquifying the onion) | Salt and pepper to taste |
Mince the onion (almost liquify it) using a food chopper (electric hand held chopper works great)
Mix the onion, corn meal mix, egg, salt, and pepper in a small to medium sized bowl.
Add just enough meal to hold it together while spooning the mixture into
hot oil.
* Depending on how juicy the onion is, more or less corn meal may be needed.
* The more meal you use the drier the hush-puppies will be.
Makes 10 hush-puppies
