Corn Dogs
| 2/3 C yellow cornmeal | 1 beaten egg |
| 1/3 C flour | 1/2 C milk |
| 1 T brown sugar | 2 T vegetable oil |
| 1 tsp salt | 1 lb. hot dogs |
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 375°. Insert sturdy wooden skewers lengthwise into the hot dogs. Put some extra flour for dipping onto a plate.
- Combine corn meal, flour, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add the beaten egg, oil, and milk, and mix well.
- Coat the hot dogs first in the extra flour and then dip them into the batter, coating them well.
- Fry in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes until the coating is a nice golden brown in color.
