Beef Stroganoff 2
| 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin | 1 can beef consommé |
| 3 T butter | 1 C dairy sour cream |
| 4 oz jar sliced mushrooms, drained | 1/4 C flour |
| 1/2 C chopped onion | 1/4 tsp paprika |
| 1 small clove garlic (minced) | 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce |
- Cut the steak across the grain into thin strips and dust with flour and a dash of pepper.
- In a large skillet, brown the meat in the butter.
- Add mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic. Brown lightly.
- Stir in the consommé.
- Cover and cook about one hour, stirring now and then.
- Gradually stir in the sour cream and add the paprika.
- Cook over low heat for five minutes and serve over three cups of noodles.
- Makes 4 servings.
