Beef Stroganoff 2

1 1/2 lbs. sirloin 1 can beef consommé
3 T butter 1 C dairy sour cream
4 oz jar sliced mushrooms, drained 1/4 C flour
1/2 C chopped onion 1/4 tsp paprika
1 small clove garlic (minced) 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Cut the steak across the grain into thin strips and dust with flour and a dash of pepper.
  • In a large skillet, brown the meat in the butter.
  • Add mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic.  Brown lightly.
  • Stir in the consommé.
  • Cover and cook about one hour, stirring now and then.
  • Gradually stir in the sour cream and add the paprika.
  • Cook over low heat for five minutes and serve over three cups of noodles.
  • Makes 4 servings.
